A few useful answers

Start with a moment.

You don’t need to do everything at once. Pick a clip. Give it a point of view. Build from there.

Can I use StreamSpark yet?

Public access isn’t open yet. StreamSpark is currently a local app in private development. This website introduces the project and its current workflow.

What does the workflow look like?

Review a captured moment, open it in Studio, adjust the framing, captions and sound, then export. You can post a finished export to your own connected YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook or Instagram accounts, and see how it is doing in Stats.

Does exporting publish my video?

No. Export creates a finished file. Posting is a separate action that you start, with an account and settings you choose, and StreamSpark asks you to confirm before anything is sent, right away or at a time you schedule. Public YouTube uploads require the appropriate Google project approval.

Which accounts can I post to?

YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook (a Page you manage) and Instagram (a professional account, linked to your Page or with its own Instagram login). You connect each one yourself in Settings → Accounts, through the platform’s own sign-in page, and can disconnect it whenever nothing is being sent. Brands let you keep up to five sets of accounts, one per platform in each.

TikTok: StreamSpark sends the finished clip you select to your TikTok inbox as a draft, and you finish and publish the post inside TikTok. To show its numbers in Stats, it reads your public videos’ basic details and counts and your account’s follower count. While StreamSpark is in TikTok’s testing stage, only approved test accounts can connect and receive drafts.

What does Stats read?

The views, likes and other numbers of the posts you made through StreamSpark, and your follower counts, using the permissions you approved. The numbers are kept on your computer. The privacy policy lists what is read on each platform.

How are captions and titles made?

Captions are made by AssemblyAI: a clip’s sound, not its picture, is sent once and the transcript is deleted there as soon as the words arrive. Titles are written by Anthropic’s Claude from the clip’s words, or by a free model on your own computer. Connect either one in Settings → Captions and titles with your own API key. You can also type captions by hand.

Where does my footage go?

Footage, clips, drafts and phone videos are stored on the computer running the app. Captions, titles, sounds, posting and Stats involve outside services only when you use them. The privacy policy explains those boundaries.

How do I delete my data?

Disconnect your accounts in Settings → Accounts, and delete StreamSpark’s folder to remove everything it keeps on your computer. The privacy policy has the full steps.
